Sa’ueia Continent

The Sa’ueia are the dominant intelligent species of this continent. They live in mobile family units, carrying their civilization with them as they travel. The Airawa never evolved here and had not colonized it before the imperial discovery era.

Sa’ueia society developed through migration and negotiation with the ecologies along its routes. Its knowledge and social order did not develop around dependence on archives rooted in fixed places.

Living Along Remembered Routes

Travel depends on relationships built over repeated visits. Herds, root mats, nesting cliffs, mineral licks, fungal waystations, and seasonal bloom corridors respond to repeated generosity. In this sense, the continent remembers how families move through it and what they give or take.

Taking too much from a region can therefore have consequences long after a family leaves. A family may get enough to survive the week while damaging the ecological relationships it will need for the next decade.

Civilizational Pattern

Sa’ueia civilization is advanced, but it does not concentrate its institutions in cities as the Airawa do. Sa’ueia Family Units carry knowledge, law, craft, and diplomacy across the continent. Movement is part of how those institutions work.

Permanent occupation is concentrated at Breeding Grounds. Infants, infirm adults, rotating specialists, and ecological partners care for these sites while family units circulate through the wider continent.

Imperial observers see no obvious capitals and mistake that absence for weakness. Their assessment overlooks the institutions traveling past them.
