Design Rule
Ecological relationships should shape what inhabitants can do. Use them to explain how memory survives, how supplies and travelers move, how obligations are enforced, what passes between generations, and how one organism gains bargaining power over another. These relationships belong in the workings of the setting, not just its scenery.
